Portland Buses to Salem: Reserve a space by March 9!! March 10 (Deadline extended!)

Portland area peace and justice activists invite you to RSVP your round-trip bus extravaganza to the Sunday, March 15, Salem rally! The cost of a round-trip bus ride will only be $10.00! Less if you can't afford 10 bucks, or more if you are feeling generous and want to kick in for someone suffering a deficit. A few absolutely free scholarships will be offered; let us know if you are requesting one and we'll put you on a list first come, first served.

We'll board the bus at 11 am on March 15th, location TBA. Once in Salem, we will be joining with peace & justice enthusiasts from around the state. The return trip will leave Salem at approximately 3:30 PM and arrive back in Portland at around 4:30 PM.

The event will include speakers and music, followed by a short march around the capitol mall to bring the attention of our lawmakers to the issues which concern us:

Stop the Wars at Home & Abroad; Keep Oregon's Guard Home from Iraq & Afghanistan!
Money for jobs, education, health care and housing, not war!
End the siege of Gaza! A Just Peace for Palestine/Israel!
Say NO to Scapegoating! Protect Immigrant Rights!

Tell us your name, email address, phone, how many seats you'll want and how much you are planning to pay. We will email (or phone) back to confirm the location to meet the bus --next to Lincoln High School at SW Salmon and 14th--and will collect for your fare as you board the bus.

CARPOOL: If you are willing to offer space in your car for a carpool, come park near the bus site (around 14th and Salmon) and let people know you are available.

Bring your civic-minded spirit and a sack lunch and join us for this fun and meaningful day!
